I like to pack my smoothies full of nutrients so I can get the most from them! That means fresh fruit, lots of leafy greens, and any relevant supplements. I usually pack 3-4 big handfuls of greens into each smoothie.
Oh how times have changed. Over the last decade the amount of vegan options in vegas has flourished! About 10 years ago I remember my only real option was to get fresh groceries at the store, and fill my sink in my hotel room with ice to keep my fruit/veggies fresh (like most people do with their beer), because there was close to zero good vegan options in vegas.
Overnight oats are the perfect grab-and-go breakfast! When you want a sweeter breakfast that's still a super healthy this will hit the spot. ;) Letting the oatmeal sit overnight with fruit, the oats absorb the flavors so much, making it insanely sweet and delicious! This recipe is also easy to make so it’s good for those of you who crave simplicity!
live in an incredibly diverse area, and because of that, there are many different cultures with many different foods surrounding me. I've always wanted to branch out from what I normally eat, but unfortunately that isn't always easy when you're vegan. Restaurants don't often offer vegan options, and even if they do the substitutions can make the dish non-authentic, and taste more like unseasoned tofu than anything else. That's why I love this dish so much!
I love smoothies, but even I can admit that sometimes they get a little boring. That’s why smoothie bowls, even simple recipes like this one, are one of my favorite things to make. Just the fact that you can eat it with a spoon instead of drink it automatically makes the bowls that much better than regular smoothies (for when you don’t have to eat it on the go, anyway).
