Refreshing Vegan Facemask for Dry Skin

I don’t know about you, but winter tends to dry my skin out. I’ll step out of a hot shower and have to rush to put on lotion before all of the moisture gets sucked from my skin. For the delicate skin on your face, I recommend doing something a little different to ensure that you have silky smooth features.

About once a week during the dry winter months I turn to this recipe for a homemade face mask, and every week it works without fail. It ends up making about enough for two masks, so you can either save half in the fridge for later or grab a friend to hang out and relax together!

Ingredients:

  1. ½ Banana

  2. 1 Avocado

  3. Teaspoon of vegan honey

Avocados are really the superstar of this mix. Not only are they rich in healthy fats that are good for you inside and out, they’re also rich in hydrating chlorophyll and vitamin D, as well as an excellent anti-inflammatory. They’re on the same level as coconut oil, and if you’d like to mix this recipe up, adding a little coconut oil in addition only adds to the health benefits of the mask!

In order to make the mask, mash all the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. Then just apply it to all the dried-out areas of your face, and wait 20 minutes before washing it off! It’s completely vegan, and smells amazing too!
