I love smoothies, but even I can admit that sometimes they get a little boring. That’s why smoothie bowls, even simple recipes like this one, are one of my favorite things to make. Just the fact that you can eat it with a spoon instead of drink it automatically makes the bowls that much better than regular smoothies (for when you don’t have to eat it on the go, anyway).
This recipe is one of the most classic food combinations; peanut butter and banana. High in protein, potassium, and very versatile if you want to include other things, it’s simple but very nutritious.
- One frozen banana
- One tablespoon creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk
- Any toppings you want!
Mix the frozen banana, peanut butter, and coconut milk in a blender until smooth and creamy. Then simply pour into a bowl and top with whatever you want! I personally love topping it with even more banana and whole peanuts, but there are lots of things that go well with this, such as oats or vegan cereals. It all depends on what you like, and that’s the beauty of smoothie bowls!
